Thank you for your interest in adopting a dog from the Humane Society of Catawba County. Every dog in our care is looking for a loving, permanent home, and this application is the first step in helping us find the right match. Before you begin, feel free to browse the dogs currently available for adoption.

Please answer each question honestly and completely — the more we know about your home and lifestyle, the better we can match you with a dog who fits. Submitting an application does not guarantee approval. A member of our team will review your information and reach out to talk through the next steps. Every dog goes home spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped.

Thanks so much for choosing adoption! Dogs bring years of companionship, joy, and unconditional love, but they also require a lifelong commitment of time, patience, care, and financial responsibility. Before adopting, please ensure that you are prepared to provide a safe and loving home for the next 10 to 15 years or more.

Adoption fees are payable to the Humane Society of Catawba County by cash, debit card, or credit card. Personal checks are not accepted for adoptions.

HSCC makes every reasonable effort to evaluate the health and behavior of animals in its care. However, HSCC cannot guarantee the future health, temperament, behavior, or suitability of any animal. Certain medical, behavioral, hereditary, or genetic conditions may not be apparent at the time of adoption and may not be detected by HSCC or its veterinarians prior to placement.
