The last few years have been difficult for many reasons, and many pet owners continue to struggle to provide for their animals' nutritional needs. It is heartbreaking that one in four pet owners who surrender their pets to a shelter say it is because they can no longer afford to care for them. By providing temporary food assistance, we help these pets stay in a loving home.

Through our Pet Food Pantry, the Humane Society of Catawba County offers free pet food to those in need. Keeping our shelves stocked isn't always easy, though, and we rely on the generosity of community members who donate food and supplies to support the program.

To keep food available for pet owners in need, we've created our Pet Food Pantry Sponsorship program. For $300.00 per month, you or your business will be featured as our Pet Food Pantry Sponsor with a special display at the shelter, plus a shoutout on social media and in our newsletter. Your gift is used to purchase additional food when our shelves run low. It's a wonderful way to show you care about the pets in our community — and the families working hard to stay together.
