To keep our clinics running smoothly and fairly for every pet owner in Catawba County, we ask that you review the following scheduling policies before booking a spay/neuter, wellness, or feral cat appointment.

General Appointment Policy

• Rescheduling Notice
  We require 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
  
  
• Missed Appointments
  If you miss your appointment without notice, we will reschedule your surgery once. After that, your fee is non-refundable.
  
  
• Reschedule & Cancellation Fee
  A $25.00 fee applies to reschedule or cancel an appointment.
  
  
• Weather Policy
  In the case of inclement weather, our staff will reschedule your appointment at no additional fee.

Feral Cat Package Scheduling

• Phone Scheduling Only
  Feral cat package appointments cannot be booked online and must be scheduled by calling the shelter. We perform a limited number of feral surgeries per day, so please call ahead.
  
  
• Prepayment Required
  All feral surgeries, including the Feral Cat Package, must be paid in full before the day of surgery. Surgery will not be performed without payment.
  
  
• Humane Trap Required
  Feral cats must be brought in a humane trap, one cat per trap. Our staff cannot accept a feral cat for surgery in a regular carrier.

Trap Rental Terms

• Rental Fee & Deposit
  Humane traps are available to rent for a seven-day period. The $50.00 rental fee covers $40.00 toward spay/neuter surgery for the captured cat (including a one-year rabies vaccine and ear-tip) and a $10.00 refundable deposit.
  
  
• Late Fee
  A late fee of $10.00 per day applies past the rental period.
  
  
• Damaged, Lost, or Stolen Traps
  Deposits are not refunded for traps returned damaged, lost, or stolen. To rent a trap for an additional cat, a new agreement must be signed.
